MC Hammer is at the All Things Digital conference in Carlsbad, California. He is promoting his new social network (I can’t believe I just typed those last 2 sentences).
The network is called DanceJam and is a niche social site all about dance videos. Of course, dance videos are huge on YouTube. From dance battles to the history of dance, we love our dance vids.
And it’s no wonder, since Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance? are popular TV reality dance shows.
DanceJam began with angel funding and now has VC backing. The site is supported by display ads, but they aren’t too intrusive yet.
